Postlude
God dwells in His creation and is everywhere indivisibly present in
all His works. He is transcendent above all His works even while He
is immanent within them.

You, like me, are no doubt shocked
when hearing God’s name used
loosely and coarsely on the street, in
the coffee shop, and on TV. But
here’s a question: “Is it possible for
those who don’t know God to take His
Name in vain or to dishonor His
Name?” I think not. For the
unbeliever, they are just words
without any real meaning and
connection in their life – they don’t
know who they’re talking about. Ah,
but for those who profess to know
God, it is almost inevitable that they
will say things about Him that are
untrue, pray things to Him that they
don’t mean, and act out in their lives
things that belittle or deny their
knowledge and relationship to Him.
We are the ones who can, and do at
times, take the Lord’s name in vain!
Church Clean-up
Our next fix-up and clean-up event is
this Saturday from 9 to 11 am. Bring
yard tools.
Helping International Students
(H.I.S)
We partner with this campus ministry as
they serve students from all over the
world that are here for a few months or
years. Over 100 internationals who have
recently arrived here have registered
with HIS this spring and there are quite
a few who would like to be connected
with an American friend. This is a great
opportunity for personal ministry and
outreach. For more information or to
sign up to be a friend, contact Katie
Palani (katie@hismanhattan.org).
